CRI stands for Color Rendering Index and is a scale from 0-100 that shows the ability of a light source to reveal the colors of objects faithfully. A higher CRI rating means that colors will be much sharper, brighter and more vibrant than light sources with a lower number.
With our background in creating theatrical luminaires for Broadway and West End stages, we know a thing or two about CRI and ensuring that your clothes and accessories are seen in the best possible light.
Color temperature is a measured scale of the different shades of white light that can be achieved. Whether it’s the warm glow from a set of candles, through to the cooler white created by the cloud cover on an overcast day; every shade of white light can make you look different.

The Streamer unit connects to a laptop via the USB-C (or USB-A with an adapter). The LED Streamer has to get power from somewhere, and if your laptop is running on battery power it will take power from the battery. The Streamer unit is designed for maximum power efficiency, so it will only consume whatever power is needed to operate. If you are worried about your laptop’s battery life, use the intensity sliders or buttons on the unit to decrease the fixture output, thus reducing power consumption as needed.
The remote.streamer.rocks control webpage is encrypted, so all data transferring between our remote servers and your desktop application is completely secure.
Unfortunately, two Streamers cannot currently be controlled from a single Mac or PC. But wouldn’t it be awesome if you could? Or what if, as a lighting designer, wanted to control 50 Streamer units remotely through our remote.streamer.rocks? That would be pretty cool too.
